About Creature Care

Creature Care owner, Wendy Scammell, spends some quality time with client's Bernese Mountain Dog, "Dave".

Creature Care began in 2002 when I recognized a need in the St. John's and Mount Pearl area for a "stay-at-home petcare" alternative for Pet Parents.

I have always been an animal lover. I grew up in St. John's and owned and cared for many family pets...which included dogs, cats, fish and birds. I currently have two cats, Max and Ginger, both animal rescues, and a tank full of fish.

From the beginning, my philosophy has been a commitment to provide the highest-quality service possible to my clients and their pets.

Creature Care's Professional Pet Sitters/Dog Walkers are carefully selected as people who not only express a love for animals, but have shown it through their volunteer work and/or their professional training.
